"Even Though I Walk..." is an allusion to the 23rd Psalm, which begins "The Lord is my Shepherd", and continues "Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will not fear, for You [God] are with me." The sheep takes solace in the presence of the shepherd, even in times when that presence is not obvious.
